After earning an undergraduate degree in history at the University of Kansas, Michael D. “Mike” Schoenfeldt began his 24 years of service in the US Army. During his service, he returned twice to the academic environment to earn a master of science degree in adult, occupational, and continuing education from Kansas State University and both a master of science in national resource strategy and a graduate certificate in supply chain management from the Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy. He was stationed across the globe, Michael D. Schoenfeldt rose through the ranks to command an armored brigade combat team in charge of 4,000 soldiers.
Since leaving the military in 2022, Mike Schoenfeldt has performed a range of operational and budgetary oversight functions as a bakery inventory controller at a state-of-the-art Kellogg’s plant in Kansas City. When he isn’t working, he volunteers at the City Union Mission in Kansas City, Missouri. A dedicated husband, father, brother, and son, Mike Schoenfeldt also values time spent with his family.
